As the presidency of George W. Bush winds down into the annals of history, the Commander-in-Chief's pint-sized, animated counterpart continues to wreak havoc on Washington, D.C. in the sophomore season of Lil' Bush: Resident of the United States. The 10 episodes featured on the double-disc set are stronger that their first season predecessor; the machinations of G.W. and his grade school cronies are sharper, ruder and funnier here, most notably in "Big Pharma," where both the Lil' Cronies and George Sr. experience some unexpected side effects from ill-gotten prescription drugs. A horde of new characters are also introduced in Season 2, from Lil' Fred Thompson (complete with his own Law and Order intro) to the bear-riding, hyper-aggressive Lil' Vladimir Putin, who takes on Lil' George in "Pooty-Poot." The whole thing comes to a close with "Anthem/China," which has George Sr. trying out a new National Anthem, while the gang declares war on the Asian superpower after Lil' George's Father's Day gift proves a dud. The finale also appears to serve as the series conclusion as well, which is well, as it's a solid indication of the show's knack for broad and outrageous parody. Extras include audio commentaries on six of the episodes by the voice cast and production team, who discuss deleted scenes and gags that ran afoul of the network; a battery of viral video parodies (including the infamous "Obama Girl" spot) and a spate of animatics round out the supplements. Fans should note that the DVD is uncensored and restores much of the vulgar dialogue bleeped during network broadcast. --Paul Gaita
